A Little Bit About My Crazy Knitting Self

Started knitting three years ago. Always wanted to learn, so I finally took one class at AC Moore. The lady was not nice. So I went to Suzy Girl for help. Been doing on my own since. With the web and books and stuff, I think it's pretty easy to teach yourself. If I can do it, anybody can.

So far, I have made scarves for people, a baby blanket, ponchos, you know easy affordable stuff. Sorry, but I still have a problem with spending $80 for yarn for one sweater. Cheap I know, but what can I say? I'll spend it someday. In the mean time, I have a pretty big stash, which I inventoried recently and said "Oh my God...no one can know about this." The problem is that there is two of this, one of that, and I'm not sure what to do with it. Projects will come to me eventually.

Oh I did make one short sleeved sweater. I substituted yarn and made a gauge. HOWEVER, since the yarn wasn't the same type, it draped differently. I felt like I had a blanket on. Not a pretty sight. I'll be recycling that yarn, let me tell you. Pretty color too. The only problem is that I am great at weaving, and it's hard to find those little suckers. Come here my little pretties!

Also have a WIP...poncho with sleeves. It's not far along, very pretty with cables (my first attempt). But I have discovered the joy of socks!!! Finished one and almost done the ribbing on the second. Liking the quickness of it all. I'll post a picture eventually. Suzy Girl has to help me with that.

Well, that's it for now. Have a great weekend!
